Assistance League of Las Vegas has been serving the community for over 30 years. Assistance League was organized in 1976 and chartered in 1979 as the 63rd chapter of National Assistance League®. Our chapter is composed of more than 400 members, together volunteering over 33,000 hours last year in support of our philanthropic programs. The chapter is an all volunteer organization with no paid staff. Monies raised through the chapter's fundraising activities are used for its philanthropic programs and are tax deductible.
Through its Fund Development committee, Assistance League of Las Vegas received a very generous grant from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation in 1996 to build its Chapter Facility. The grant did require that the Chapter raise $1.67 million in matching funds, which it did through Capital Campaign Contributions. The building was completed in October 1998 and Assistance League of Las Vegas is very thankful to its members and the community for their continued support.
